Baxter State Park is the largest park in the northeast preserving a huge tracks on northern forest on the territory of 200,000 acres (809 sq km). Among the animals here are moose, deer, black bear, as well as smaller creatures like squirrels, amphibians, birds. The wildflowers are fantastic as well, reaching the height of the bloom by mid-July.
