Afghanistan: Road from Bamyan to Golbahar via Shibar Pass

The road from Bamyan back to the main south-north highway from Kabul goes via a beautiful Ghorband Valley and the 3000m high Shibar Pass. The road conditions are very good and the scenery is spectacular – with lots of small villages, apricot orchards, mudbrick houses and old fortresses, and lots of craggy mountains.
