Afghanistan: TV & Radio Hill
And the final attraction in Kabul – the highest point in the city – TV & Radio Hill. It’s a good one hour drive across the car-clogged city streets and then up unpaved and hardly drivable road to the top of the hill. You pass multiple checkpoints along the way. Finally you are on top with perhaps the best views in all directions – you can see all the busy road arteries running through the city below, blimps patrolling the sky, and the surrounding mountains with ancient walls and fortifications. There is also an outhouse here for the guards with perhaps best outhouse views in Central Asia. And it’s a great place to pose with your bodyguards AK-47 weapons blazing.
