Aldabra: Astove Atoll

Astove Atoll is part of the remote Aldabra Group in the Seychelles. Located in the western Indian Ocean, it lies roughly 1,045 km southwest of Mahé, the main island of Seychelles. The atoll 6 x 4 km and eclipses a shallow transparent inner lagoon. Beautiful white sand beach surrounds the entire island and the reef wall just offshore is one of the famous underwater dive and snorkel sites. The atoll is now a nature reserve and landing on it is very limited.
