Algeria: Tassili n’Ajjer NP – Tikoubaouine Arch
Everybody thinks of Sahara as unless sands, but it couldn’t be further from reality. In Tassili n’Ajjer National Park, the terrains is supper varied and in many places it feels like you are in the American Southwest of Utah or Arizona and not in Africa. There are rock pillars, cliffs, and quite a few spectacular arches. One of the most stunning is the Tikoubaouine Arch aka Elephant Rock – a massive arch, thin on top and even with a second mini window within its frame.
