Andorra: La Massana Valley

La Massana is the westernmost parish of Andorra, a beautiful corner of the country with high mountains, Pal Arinsal ski resort and an adjoining Comapedrosa Valley NP. The CG-4 road twists and turns into the high mountains before it was blocked by snow at Coll de La Botella, a mountain pass and a viewpoint at over 2,000 m in elevation. The views from here are sweeping – you see the La Massana valley, villages of Pal, Erts, and Arinsal, and further out to Comapedrosa NP, which houses Andorra’s highest peak. Looking in the opposite direction reveals the the Seturia Valley and distant mountains in neighboring Spain.
