Angola: Lubango – Capela da Nossa Senhora do Monte

Finally, there is one more site to visit in Lubango – a small chapel perched high in the mountains above the city – Capela da Nossa Senhora do Monte, hugely revered by religious Angolans and drawing a lot of pilgrims. The chapel was built in 1902 to commemorate the first Portuguese settlers who came to southern Angola in 1898. The small structure stale a good hike to get up to and offers panoramic views of Lubango.
