Angola: Tiambo Coastal Cliffs
The coastline around Piambo, the southwestern part of Angola and north of the town of Mocamedes is just totally spectacular – thus stretch of shoreline is characterized by a steep, arid landscape with dramatic cliffs, pristine beaches, and no tourist development, offering a wild and untouched experience. These cliffs are part of a series of low to moderate escarpments that rise abruptly from the sea or are separated by narrow shores. Erosion from wind and waves has sculpted the cliffs into rugged forms, with some areas featuring sharp ledges, crevices, or natural pools formed at low tide. The cliffs rise over 100m/300 ft in places.
