Annobon: Lago Mazafim
Annobon is a volcanic island, in fact it’s an extinct volcano with a crater lake in the middle of it – Lago Mazafim. The hike up to the lake is a strenuous clim of nearly 400m vertical elevation through the tropical forest that starts out dry and end being lush and think at the top. The peak of Pico del Fuego looms over the lake and is visible from many points around the island.
