Argentina: Cafayate – Vasija Secreta Bodega
Cafayate is the second largest wine growing region in Argentina after Mendoza, the Cafayate Valley is a spectacular high elevation terrain suitable for growing unique wine varietals. The areas around the town are full of wineries and bodegas, we visited one of them – Vasija Secreta Bodega – the oldest bodega in the Cafayate Valley. Malbec, Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, and finally Torrontes – a sort of grape that only grows here and nowhere else – are cultuvated here. We totally got hooked on Torrontes – dry white and very aromatic wine.
