Argentina: Corientes
Corientes is another provincial capital in the north of the country (Corientes Province). The city lies on the east side of the vast Parana river and a spectacular bridge connects it to its twin city of Resistencia on the other side. Aside from bridge, there isn’t much to see or do here – it’s pretty drab and uninteresting. The central square has a cathedral and a few colonial buildings, but the rest is just a grid of ugly blocks.
