Argentina: Cuebrada de Humahuaca
Cuebrada he Humahuaca is a UNESCO World Heritage site – it’s a large valley with old Andean traditional villages and the absolutely stunning colorful canyon and ravine walls made of every possible hue of red. The most naturally stunning point is east from the village of Humahuaca via a winding gravel road and up to 13,000 feet in elevation to the viewpoint of the Serrania of Hornocal mountain range. Up here, in thin air, you are just totally stunned by the natural beauty – it really should be a wonder of the world – the jagged teeth of the mountain range have red, orange, pink, brown, yellow and all tones in between.
