Argentina: Humahuaca
The UNESCO World Heritage town of Humahuaca in the Argentinian Andes is the gateway to the colorful valley of Cuebrada de Humahuaca (a true gem and the subject of next post). The town lies above 3000m above sea level, has a pretty central square with an old church (Iglesia de la Candalaria y San Antonio) and cityhall (Cabildo), all surrounded by some of the most colorful Andean craft markets.
