Argentina: Ischigualasto PP – Paleontological Museum

The badlands at the Ischigualasto Provincial Park are world-famous for its dinosaur fossils, not only some of the oldest and unique, but also most varied and best preserved in the whole world. The range of dinosaur finds here is astonishing – from very early species to massive carnivores to early evolution mammal-like ones. The museum at the park entrance is fantastic with many bones in display as well as life size statues. Deeper in the park there is a second museum at the place where dinosaurs were discovered in large quantities, and a diorama of a paleontological dig shows how it happened.
