Argentina: Puerto Piramides

Puerto Piramides lies on the UNESCO-Wrold Heritage listed Peninsula Valdez and is the only town on it, the gateway and place to stay to explore the natural wonderland of this part of Patagonia. The town is tiny – a couple street, a couple hotels, and a couple restaurant. But it’s one of the premier whale watching destinations in the world (in season) and also the starting point to drive further out to the coastline. The town’s setting is very picturesque – in front of a Golfo Nuevo bay with cliffs surrounding it on all sides.
