Argentina: Pumamarca & Seven Colors Hill
The first Andean village we visited in the Argentinian was Pumamarca, famous for its craft markets, adobe colorful houses and whitewashed Santa Rosa de Lima church from 1648. But the most famous part of Pumamarca is the Seven Colors Hill aka Cerro de los Siete Colores right behind the village. Each of the colors is a result of different rock formation from the bottom of an ancient sea that got uplifted – pink, red, purple, brown, green white, black.
