Argentina: Talampaya NP – Talampaya Gorge
Talampaya National Park is very much reminiscent of the American southwest with its stunning red rock canyons and gorges. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for its natural beauty and many paleontological sites. Visitation is very structured and organized and you can access the various destinations within the park on daily bus tours that last several hours. The main attraction is without a doubt the Talampaya Gorge with massive red rock walls rising steeply around you. There are several petroglyph sites with etchings on the red rocks.
