The historic city center occupies a narrow peninsula where the Brisbane River makes an almost 180 degree turn around it. Lots of historical attractions here – Brisbane City Hall, King George Square with statue of the king, Brisbane Cathedral, Queen Street Mall with many old historic buildings and shops, Cathedral of St Stephen, and much more. Continuing across the city, you can falls the River Wall to the Story Bridge and Howard Smith Wharves.
