Australia: Gibb River Road
Gibb River road is a rough gravel 4WD road through the Kimberley outback. It’s “boab country”! That’s how they call baobab trees in Australia. The seeds probably made it across the Indian Ocean from Madagascar and the trees thrive here. They are spectacular and many are in bloom and some have fruits. Also in Derby there is a massive boab tree that was used as a prison (picture toward the end)!
