Australia: Tunnel Creek National Park
Now for a true Indiana Jones-style adventure at Tunnel Creek National Park: a mile long underground tunnel cave with water pools and a creek flowing through it, mostly pitch black so you go with a torch/flashlight. You have to wade knee-deep in water most of the way. There is a roof collapse half way providing beautiful skylines. Five species of bats live in the cave, hanging from ceiling and various stalactites. And the kicker – there are several dozen freshwater crocodiles (supposedly not aggressive) everywhere as you wade through water, their eyes reflecting red from the flashlight. Sounds like fun? And the cave chambers are beyond spectacular!
