Austria: Pasterze Glacier
Pasterze Glacier is the longest glacier in Austria and in the entire Eastern Alps, over 8km/5mi in length. It flows directly beneath the Grossglockner mountain (the highest in Austria) and the Grossglockner Alpine Road ends here. Several viewing platforms offer an opportunity to see the surreal glacial panorama.
