Austria: Villach
Villach is a historic city in the south of Austria near Slovenian border. The its dates back to the Roman times and was known as Sancticum back then. The old town (Altstadt) features the Hauptplatz main square with the Trinity Column from 1739 and the Church of St. Jakob, boasting a 94m tower, the tallest in Carinthia region of southern Austria. And you can climb to the very top of the tower for stupendous panoramic views. Other sites include the Heiligenkreuzkirche baroque church River fountains.
