Austria: Graz – Schlossberg Fortress
Schlossberg is a hill rising above the historic city of Graz in the southern part of Austria. The remains of a medieval fortress sit on the hill, as well as the most recognizeable symbol of the city – the clock tower with it’s very unique wooden observation platforms. You can hike to the top of the Schlossberg hill (huffing and puffing) or take a funicular Schlossberg. The views are panoramic in all directions – red tiled roofs and a dozen church spires are everywhere. A nice view to enjoy with an Aperol Spritz or two.
