Austria: Skiing at Stubai Glacier
Stubai Glacier is a massive glacier in the heart of Stubai Alps in the northern Austria. It takes a while getting here – both driving up and then taking three cable cars before you get onto the glacier proper, but skiing is incredible on a wide open panorama above 3,000 meters (10,000 feet). The night before over 20cm of fresh powder fell here and continued snowing – so fantastic fresh ungroomed powder skiing in the clouds, fog, and occasional craggy peaks peaking up
