Azerbaijan: Shusha Fortress
Shusha Fortress is the main attraction in town, the structure dating back to mid-18th century and the time of Karabakh Khanate. The fortress stands on the highest part of the plateau and overlooks the plane. Since Shusha was retaken by Azerbaijan in 2020, the fortress was meticulously restored and is now considered the symbol of the city.
