Bangladesh: Comilla War Cemetery
This war cemetery established by the British and holds the remains of 723 soldiers who perished in the Pacific theater of WWII – most died in various military hospitals. It features a small hill with Christian graves on one side and Muslim graves on the other, and a Cross of Sacrifice on a terrace. The site includes graves from various nations – UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Afghanistan.
