Bangladesh: Rupban Mura Archaeological Site
Rupban Mura is situated in the Mainamati-Lalmai hill range for far from Comilla and dates back to 6th–7th centuries AD. It is an important Buddhist temple complex, likely constructed during the Chandra or Deva Dynasty under King Balbhatta. It served as a center for Buddhist learning and pilgrimage from the 7th-12th centuries. There is a semi-cruciform shrine in the middle with held a stupa and several smaller structure around. A boundary wall encloses the stupas courtyard.
