Belarus: Pasque Flower aka Dream-Grass
Pasque Flower is one of the beautiful early spring wildflowers in Belarus and Eastern Europe. The woolly flower often pops through the snow, and the plant is actually a relative of the alpine pasque flowers commonly found in the European high alps. Known by its Latin name Pulsatilla, it belongs to the Ranunculus or anemone family and is actually quite toxic if ingested, leading to heart failure or coma.
