Belarus: Sula Historic Complex
Just about 50km from Minsk, stands the newest Belarus attraction – the historic center of Sula. Sula was an estate and a village in the Middle Ages, almost completely destroyed during the ensuing wars. Now, a lot of it has been meticulously restored, offering a glimpse of what Belarus was like centuries ago – there’s a medieval tower near the entrance, stables, a row of old traditional houses, a distillery making a grass- infused barrel-aged whisky, a restaurant serving awesome old traditional food, giant manor house, mill house, lake, and so on. Plus, all of this was under the first dusting of snow.
