Belgium: Brussels – Around the City
Brussels is a fantastic city to explore on foot – with its grand squares, historic buildings, cobblestone streets, and monuments. Manneken Pis, a statue of a peeing boy dating to 1388, is a symbol of Belgium and a must see (there is also a Jeanneke Pis, or peeing girl statue, erected in 1985). Other attractions include Place Royale (royal residence), Mont des Arts (large flower-decorated square), Parc du Cinquantenaire, and much more. And of course, try the Belgian chocolates and Belgian beer.
