Bermuda: Unfinished Church
This massive church was supposed to be the crown jewel of Bermuda when construction began in 1874. But it was never completed – first the Protestant congregation split into two and and argued who the new church would belong two. Then another church burned town in Hamilton, and the funds were diverted there. Finally, a hurricane wrecked havoc and damaged the foundation. So the church remains unfinished and beautiful nonetheless, like some ancient Abbey in England. The site is closed due to weak structure, but taking great pictures required climbing through the window and taking a little risk.
