Bhutan: Bhutanese Food Recap
Bhutanese food is as exotic as the country is itself. Unique and full of chili pepper the dishes are all served as sort of a tasting menu – you get bowls with different stuff and then pick and choose what and how you want to eat it. The two most spectacular dishes were “ema datsi” (chilis combined with liquid cheese – super mega hot), and “pork paa” (morsels of air-dryed pork with chilies). As for drink – Bhutan makes three types of beer and also several types of whiskey – highland whiskey since the whole country is highlands!
