Bhutan: Punakha Suspension Bridge

This is a long suspension bridge spanning the Po Chuu River in the beautiful Punakha valley – just beyond stunning scenery everywhere you look. The bridge is 350m/1000ft long As you walk across the creaky swaying bridge, the white water rapids gurgle below you – it would be an uncomfortable fall. But the Buddhist colorful praying flags adorning the bridge are sure to protect you. It takes about 15 to walk to the other side and then turn around and walk back.
