Botswana: Haina Kalahari Private Reserve – Game Drives

Game drives in the private concession reserve surrounding the Evolve Back Kalahari Lodge are very similar to drives in CKGR – same landscapes and wildlife – except here you can drive off road and search for the famous Kalahari black-maned lions. We spend several hours searching for lion and they were really close and we got to see several through dense vegetation. Other animals – kudu, zebra, impala. Also lots of interesting insects – like giant jewel beetles (that are supposedly edible), millipedes, red mites. And a small leopard tortoise!
