Brazil: Pantanal – Driving the Transpantaneira Road
The ultimate adventure in Pantanal is driving the Transpantaneira Road. The gravel and dirt road runs from Cuiaba town through the heart of Pantanal until it hits the Cuiaba River that divides Pantanal into north and south. This is the end of the road and ultimate wilderness. Along the 250km road, you cross 122 rustic wooden bridges. Wildlife galore here – caymans and capybaras in hundreds, swamp deer, all kinds of birds, and an incredible panoramas of wetlands. A true bucketlist adventure.
