Brunei: Empire Hotel & Country Club

There are very few 7-star hotels in the world, and Brunei’s Empire Hotel is one of them. Rooms here can go as high as $25,000 a night. Over the top luxury, gold course, marble everywhere, golden chandeliers and columns everywhere – nice to visit for a coffee but probably not staying here. it cost 1.3 billion us dollars to build in 2005. It’s really nothing more than a glorified Sheraton from the outside, but inside it’s just crazy – there’s probably dozens of marbles from around the world – floor, walls, ceiling – everything marble and not just simple but ornamentally arranged.
