Burkina Faso: Bobo-Dioulasso – Grand Marche
The main market in Bobo-Dioulasso is quite a site to see – sprawling, set in a semi-covered castle-like mudbrick walls, and is absolutely authentic and traditional. From smoked fish to mangoes to shea butter to grains to vegetables to traditional colorful linens – it’s got it all. It’s super hectic and packed to the rim with people, many are against any picture taking (somehow iPhone takes their spirit away), but some are very welcoming, smiling, and friendly.
