Burkina Faso: Kourinion Traditional Village

Here’s an example of a traditional community in western Burkina Faso – Kourinion village. It’s not a tourist attraction and you won’t find it in any guides. It’s just a simple community along the road that just looked picturesque and very traditional and welcomed us to walk around and photograph to our hearts delight. The community is based on agriculture, growing various crops and fruits (interestingly, the main fruit here was what we knew as cake from Jamaica, which in turn was brought there from Ghana). Lots of grain silos around the village, hatched-roofed huts, simple open air stone stoves, and other cool stuff.
