Cabo Verde/Sao Vicente: Baia das Gatas
Here’s another spectacular area on the island of Sao Vicente – Baia das Gatas (Bay of Sharks). It’s a protected shallow bay where sharks used to come at night to sleep in ta quality. People have since blocked the major deep channel access so the sharks can’t get in, but the bay is an incredible beach/swimming area with super clear waters, mountains in the distance, and brain corral at the bottom. And the water is warmer than the air!
