Cabo Verde/Sao Vicente: Mindelo’s Colorful Architecture
The next island is Sao Vicente with its beautiful capital of Mindelo. Mindelo was actually the first colonial city built here by Portuguese and it preserves amazing colonial architecture. There are broad squares, beautiful buildings, former presidential palace, and more. But the most insane are the colors – everything is bright, yellow red blue and more yellow, even cars and people clothes are bright and screaming loud. Mindelo was one of the main cities in the vast Portuguese empire, and it is considered the cultural capital of Cabo Verde.
