This was the most spectacular panoramic view – a sea of dunes, azure ocean in front, and black volcanic mountains behind. The sand gets carried here from Africa by the prevailing winds and currents and then forms massive sand dunes along the eastern coast of the island of Sao Vicente at the foot of almost 3000 feet high mountains.
