Cambodia: Angkor Thom
Angkor Thom is the second most famous of Cambodian ruins and in many ways it exceeds Angkor Wat in beauty and archeological artifacts. Angkor Thom served as the capital of Khmer Empire and is literally translated as “Great City”. Angkor Thom has massive towers adorned with faces on four sides, Prasat Bayon being the most notable temple.
