Cameroon: Foumban Market
The historic northern town of Foumban lies at the intersection of many trade routes and religious and has an awesome market located between the Grand Mosque and the Sultan’s Palace (the latter in the next post). The sprawling market has lots of produce and local fruits and vegetables, colorful women selling spices and smoked fish, lots of grains. This is one of the largest markets in the region and yields incredible photogenic and authentically traditional scenes and characters!
