Canada/Alberta: Dinosaur Provincial Park
Alberta is really the land of dinosaur as more dinosaurs (both quantity and variety) were unearthed here than anywhere else on Earth. Dinosaur Provincial Park is the world’s richest fossil sites, 58 dinosaur species have been discovered here and more than 500 specimens have been removed and exhibited in museums around the globe. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site, There are striking badlands, hoodoos, and diverse habitats like prairie grasslands, riverside cottonwoods, and sandstone formations here. There is a museum exhibiting some of the bones and there are mini display rooms around the park showing how the bones were originally found. All of the park is off limits as the excavations are still ongoing.
