Canada/BC: Glacier NP – Hemlock Grove Boardwalk
Glacier National Park is much wetter than the Rockies and you can almost walk in a rain forest at the Hemlock Grove Boardwalk in the western side of the park. The boardwalk goes through an ancient forest of towering western hemlocks and red cedars, massive trees, some over 500 years old. This grove represents one of the rare inland temperate rainforests in North America, a rather unique ecosystem. There are many small streams running through the forest and even a couple classic Canadian red chairs to sit back and absorb the sounds of nature.
