Canada/Ontario: Killarney – Herbert Fisheries Fish & Chips

The town of Killarney is home to Herbert Fisheries , one of the most famous fish and chips establishments in all of Canada, strangely located in Killarney in the middle of the continent and away from the ocean on the shores of lake Ontario. It is famous for its fresh fish, particularly pickerel, caught locally from Georgian Bay. It’s a very simple operation – you get a choice of 3 or 5 strips of fish and then eat it either in or outside with a beautiful view of boats and the lake.
