Canada/Ontario: Marathon – Pebble Beach

This place was just insane – a wide beach with absolutely perfect pebble stone – round and egg-shaped, and quite large. One would expect to find a beach like this somewhere on the Pacific Coast, but not here on the shores of Lake Ontario. Apparently the wave action can get quite pounding here, as well as the freezing in winter. The water and ice shape the stones into absolute perfection. The beach is about 1.5 km long, often shrouded with foggy weather.
