Canada/Ontario: Thunder Bay – Prince Arthur Landing

Thunder Bay is a major city in western Ontario, originally a fur trading post. Its economy has diversified since then, but it’s still in the middle of nowhere with perhaps brutal winters and hot and buggy summers. Hence, it’s the top city in Canada with opioid addition. One of the few attractions is Prince Arthur’s Landing – a waterfront park, featuring a marina, walking trails, and some public art. The area is named after Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught, who visited the region in the 19th century. Some nice waterfront views of Lake Ontario can be had here.
