Canada/Ontario: Toronto – CN Tower
CN Tower in Toronto is the tallest freestanding structure in the entire Western Hemisphere. At 553.3 m (1,815 ft) high, it was the world’s tallest from 1975 to 2007, when Burj Khalifa surpassed it. It is now the 9th tallest in the world. The tower is an absolute symbol of Toronto and getting up into the observation platform is a must do! A high speed elevator whisks you to the the observation level that is located at 346 m (1,135 ft) – a large glass panoramic windows and mirrored ceiling offering superb panorama of Toronto in all directions. But wait, there is another level called the SkyPod aka Space Deck at 446.5 m (1,465 ft). It is just below the antenna and another elevator ride gets you this high. From here – it is totally insane views and you can even see the tower itself below you, a head-spinning experience for sure.
