Canada/Saskatchewan: Moose Jaw- Moose Jaw Armory

Surprisingly, Moose Jaw, a town in the middle of nowhere in Canada, has a significant military history and tradition. It was here that Canadian militia and military were trained and the Moose Jaw Armory was built in 1914 as part of a national effort to provide top notch facilities. Designed in the Tudor Revival style, it was used primarily by the 95th Saskatchewan Rifles, a local militia regiment that later became part of the South Saskatchewan Regiment. Later on, the Armory played a vital role during both world wars, serving as a training and mobilization center. There are a lot of military vehicles on display in front of the armory.
